Hi and Welcome to One of The Flock

First of all let me thank God for everything and everyone in my life, especially His Son Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.  Without Him, none of this would be possible.  He has given me a talent to create and design, and I give ALL the glory to Him.

My name is Suzie and after my Lord, my husband and my family, my fourth love is sewing.

Just a quick background.....Do you remember sewing cards? This gives my age away.  Well after the sewing cards, I started sewing and knitting some simple Barbie clothes and was forever hooked on crafting. Then in the 7th grade we HAD to take home economics and one of the classes was sewing. I fell in love with it, and have been sewing and crafting ever since.

I used to make clothes for my girls, for me, stuff for my house, Christmas ornaments, I did lots of decorative painting too. I tried so many different crafts over the years, you name it....I've done it, including gardening and baking. BUT I always came back to sewing. With that, I also enjoy designing. I do a lot of OOAK designs, and some of them I do turn into patterns. I hope to do more pattern designing soon.

I am a fabric and fiber-a-holic if there is such a thing:o)  I love to design and create anything that can be sewn, especially items that can be used in the home, personal accessories, items for children, dolls, stuff for gift giving, and just anything crafty. 

More recently I have developed a love for fiber, and that's why I sell all of the wool stuff.  I love working with the wool and therefore plan on designing more items using it.

I started One of The Flock about eight years ago.  My website went through many changes. At times I was selling doll supplies, patterns, fabric,  then I added soap and candles along with all of the other stuff.  I was trying to do too much, and it wasn't fun anymore. Selling the wholesale candles is what did it. It was just too much for one person to handle. So I closed my website for a while.

Well I'm back,  I have re-grouped, and I am here to stay. I have streamlined what I carry and it will be much easier. I hope to be designing many new patterns as I have tons of ideas.  And since I will only be carrying the wool felts, wool fibers and synthetic felt, I hope to design lots of patterns using all of these mediums.

One more thing:o) I have 7 grand children now, so I am into sewing baby and children's items. You can find a link on "My Etsy"  that leads to these finished items.
